Create a Board
Register a new notice board linked to your WhatsApp number. Choose a unique Board ID — a short identifier made of letters, numbers and hyphens (8–32 characters). One WhatsApp number can only have one Board.

Change the display name of your board as it appears in the Updtz app. Keep it clear and recognisable to your subscribers (max 32 characters). This does not change the Board ID.

Updtz is a one-way digital notice board platform. As a publisher, you post updates using WhatsApp. Your subscribers read those updates in the Updtz app. There are no group chats, no social feeds, and no comment sections — just clean, private updates.
A Board is your personal or business notice board on Updtz — like a digital bulletin board that belongs to you. It has a unique Board ID, a display title, and a QR code people scan to follow you. Every update you post goes to your Board.
Send any text message to the Updtz WhatsApp bot — anything that does not start with / is treated as an update. You can also attach an image. The update is published instantly and all subscribers are notified.
Subscribers are people who follow your Board in the Updtz app. They are anonymous — you cannot see their name, identity, or phone number. They choose whether to enable push notifications, and can unsubscribe at any time.
Publishing is currently free. We are still working out the long-term pricing model and will share details as we finalize them.
No. Publishing is done entirely through WhatsApp — no website or app needed on your end. Your subscribers will need the free Updtz app to read updates and receive notifications.
